A healthy diet is one of the two major factors that can help maintain a proper weight, “what’s the second?” you may ask, the second is PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES and EXERCISES.🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
The food we eat determines to a large extent how our body cells function, in other words, food 🍜🥗 is fuel for the body, as Google is fuel for your hustle😉 (I hope they pay me for this free advert,😃 lol).
For instance, imagine filling your fuel tank with dangerous fuel, the engine will wear out in no time. Yes, that is exactly how food is to the body.
It is advised that we choose to eat healthy so as to ensure our body cells stay healthy and do not wear out.
Maintaining a healthy diet is a major challenge to many, sincerely sticking to healthy meals can be very tasking but we should decide to be intentional about the food we eat.
Recently, the World Health Organization released top 5 tips for a healthy diet this New year.
According to WHO, whatever your New Year’s resolution, a healthy and balanced diet will provide many benefits into 2019 and beyond.
WHO advises that these 5 Tips remain our priority as we go through our activities this year.
1. Eat a variety of food
2. Cut down on your salt intake
3. Limit sugar intake
4. Avoid harmful use of alcohol
5. Reduce use of unhealthy fats
“What we eat and drink can affect our body’s ability to fight infections, as well as how likely we are to develop health problems later in life”.
These five are the best ways to prevent these health threatening conditions as they’re the basic ways to prevent diseases.
